Qigong – Stances

The Taiji Qigong Stances are performed either standing, sitting or lying down. By adopting a certain body posture an strong connection with the earth can occur. The maximum relaxation of muscles during the posture, an adapted breathing technique and a meditative mental attitude makes it possible to get in contact with the radiating, expanding earth force.

The coincidence of the center of gravity with the dantian and mental focus on that area activates the dantian. An active dantian is the key to induce spontaneous movement.

Through the spontaneous body movements the possibility arises to release tension. Releasing any kind of tension has a beneficial effect on body and mind. The body will be cleansed of pathogenic factors. Energetic channels are opened and qi-circulations can occur. Mental and spiritual development are possible.
